Nailoli Signature set with nail glue, a sheet of adhesive tabs, nail file, buffing block, cuticle pusher, alcohol pad, and case

Nail Glue vs. Adhesive Tabs: Which Should You Use?

Use nail glue when you want your press-ons to last one to two weeks. Use adhesive tabs when you want a quick application and easy removal, for a weekend, an event, or your first try. Every Nailoli kit includes both, so you can choose each time you apply.

Adhesive tabs: quick and easy to remove

Tabs take seconds to apply and come off cleanly. Peel a tab, press it onto your natural nail, then press the press-on on top and hold for 10 to 15 seconds. They're a good fit for a few days of wear, a special event, or if you're new to press-ons and want an easy undo.

Glue: stronger hold, longer wear

Glue takes a bit more care. Apply a thin layer to your natural nail, press the press-on down at a slight angle, roll it flat, and hold for 20 to 30 seconds. Glue holds through a full one to two weeks of wear in a way tabs usually don't.

Can I mix glue and tabs?

Yes. Some people use glue on their dominant hand, which does more work, and tabs on the other.

How is removal different?

Tab-applied nails usually lift off after a short soak and gentle pressure. Glue-applied nails need a full 10 to 15 minute soak in warm, soapy water before you gently wiggle them free from the base. Rushing that soak is the most common cause of natural nail damage.

Quick tip: Whichever you choose, prep matters more. Glue and tabs both struggle on an oily nail, so don't skip the alcohol pad.
